Welcome!

Welcome to Yi Liu’s organic energy materials group at the Molecular Foundry. Our research focuses on the development of nanostructured materials through the design, synthesis and manipulation of tailor-made molecular and polymeric constituents. Some specific interests are directed towards 1) organic-inorganic heteromaterial frameworks as next generation optoelectronic materials, 2) self-assembly of porous 2D and 3D framework materials with controlled structure and engineered function, and 3) design and synthesis of new organic semiconductors for organic electronics, and fundamental understanding of the associated electronic processes.
